VIMPy is proud to present Singapore's first inter-school Battle of the Bands.
Hosted by OWIS Nanyang and in partnership with LASALLE College of the Arts, this event brings together bands from schools in Singapore to compete for the ultimate prize: a professional recording session at LASALLE’s state-of-the-art studios.
Up to 6 musicians per band are invited to represent their school.
To participate, schools must have an established in-house Instrumental Music Programme (IMP). This ensures each band truly represents their school's commitment to music education.
Our 2026 panel features a world-class lineup of artists and educators:
These judges will evaluate bands on musicianship, creativity, stage presence, and overall performance.
Your hosts for the event will be Duncan McKee, Director of VIMPy Pte Ltd and Damien Williams, Head of the Arts at OWIS Nanyang International School.
The winning band will receive a full day in the recording studio at LASALLE College of the Arts, working with Grade 3 students to create a high-quality, professionally produced track.
This is a rare opportunity for young musicians to gain hands-on studio experience in one of Singapore’s premier arts institutions.
Fees are $300

How many members can be in a band?
Bands can have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 musicians.
What is the performance time limit?
Each band is allocated a 15-minute set. This includes your intro, transition between songs, and your performance. We recommend preparing 2–3 songs.

What if we need to cancel?
Registrations are non-refundable after March 1st, as slots are strictly limited to ensure every school gets a fair performance time.
