When and where is the event?
The event takes place on Sunday 17th May, 2026 with sound checks held on Saturday, 16th May 2026 at OWIS Nanyang International School, 21 Jurong West Street 81, Singapore 649075
The event will be held in the MPH (Multi-purpose hall) or main hall.
Who can enter?
The competition is open to students in Senior/High School, ages 13–18 from both International and Local schools across Singapore.
What is the "IMP" requirement?
Participating schools must have an established in-house Instrumental Music Programme (IMP). This means the band members should be part of the school's music community.
How many members can be in a band?
Bands can have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 musicians.
What is the performance time limit?
Each band performs one piece, maximum 6 minutes in duration. This includes your intro, transition between songs, and your performance. We recommend preparing 2–3 songs.
Are cover songs allowed?
Yes! A mix of original material and creative covers is welcomed. Our judges look for "musical identity," so creating your own style is advantageous.
What equipment is provided?
We provide all the non-portable equipement such as drum kits, stage piano, amps, and speakers. Bring your own guitars, bass guitars, wind instruments etc
The Prize
What is the Grand Prize?
The winning band receives a recording session at the LASALLE College of the Arts state-of-the-art studio. You will work with Year 3 students and engineers to track, mix, and produce a high-quality version of your songs.
Registration & Logistics
How much is the registration fee?
The registration fee's TBC.
When is the registration deadline?
Registration and payment must be completed by 16th March, 2026.
What if we need to cancel?
Registrations are non-refundable after March 1st, as slots are strictly limited to ensure every school gets a fair performance time.
